Terroir & Vin - CHâTEAUNEUF-DU-PAPE

Organised every year on the 3rd or 4th weekend in September during the Fête Nationale de la Gastronomie, the big picnic of the grape harvest welcomes young and old for an introduction to the grape harvest followed by a visit to the cellar.

This year, for its 6th edition, the picnic will take place at the Clos du Caillou in Courthézon!

This is a perfect opportunity to inform visitors about the characteristics of the designation, to allow them to take part in the harvest and to share a moment of conviviality around a vineyard picnic prepared by our local artisans.
Not forgetting of course the tasting of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines, offered as reds or whites.

50 participants gather at the grape harvest breakfast, then split into two groups: one to visit the cellar, the other to be introduced to the harvesting process.

At the end of the morning, they change places so that everyone can observe the different aspects of the job of a vineyard worker.

The outdoor lunch allows visitors to taste the wines of the estate with rustic Provencal dishes.
