Our selection of five must-see wine festivals: the vine and wine celebration in May, a doors-open weekend with a lot going on, in most local vineyards, the medieval Véraison festival in Châteauneuf-du-Pape the first weekend of August, the Ban des Vendanges (Harvest Proclamation) in Avignon the first weekend of September, Millévin (celebration of the new vintage) held mid-November in Avignon, and La Nuit du Vin de Rasteau on 14 August.
